Ensure integration of Men's Ice Hockey program activities to College mission and culture. Recruitment of a wide diversity of prospective student athletes in order to reach the team's target roster size. Retain and graduate student-athletes at a rate higher than the overall college rates in order to generate positive net revenue for the college. Facilitate an environment that encourages development of skills to effectively engage with individuals from various and diverse backgrounds. Coach in a manner that results in successful performance in order to create a positive image of the college in the minds of the community, alumni and other prospective students. Administer all aspects of the hockey program including budget, team travel, scheduling and documentation to ensure the smooth operation of the team and efficient use of the college's resources. Ensure compliance with NCAA, MIAC and internal policies and procedures. Facilitate team Community Service in order to present a positive image of the college and to help our student-athletes live one of the Benedictine values of Community. Secondary Duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the Athletic Department and efficient use of the college's resources. Ability to manage staff to foster a cooperative work environment, delegation of responsibilities. Manage multiple projects under pressure with composure and flexibility. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and five to seven years coaching hockey and recruiting experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Competencies:Knowledge of rules, techniques and culture of hockey and NCAA regulations and guidelines related to recruitment and retention of collegiate athletes.
