The City of Saint Peter is accepting applications for the position of full-time maintenance engineer in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services with responsibilities for maintenance of buildings and grounds at City buildings including the Community Center and City Hall. Qualified applicants may be required to participate in an interview, skills assessment, and/or other pre-employment testing as part of the selection process. Starting wage is $25.77 per hour.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include: Highschool diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license; ability to perform simple math equations and figure area, volume, ratios and measurements; demonstrated knowledge of basic building maintenance practices; willingness and ability to work indoors and outdoors; demonstrated knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; demonstrated experience working with public and one year of experience in a custodial position, manufacturing or service industry.
